Build identification + Rearm

Hi everyone!

I have two question:

• How can I identify the build number I have installed?
• Can i rearm *after* 30 days have already passed? (I will be on holiday at the 30th expiration day)

Well the answer to the first question is just type "winver" w/o the quotes into the start>search bar and hit enter and wait and a box will pop up with the info you want.

I believe, but am not 100% certain, that you can rearm after 30 days have passed. I'm sure someone else will respond more authoritatively to that one.

You can get task manager to do it for you...

But the PC will be off while I'm gone... Would that task be executed the moment I'm back and turn the PC on, before windows checks if the first 30 days have passed? (Or maybe I am missing what that task does..?)

Even if you lose a few days by re-arming early, 7 should be out on the shelves/in your mailbox if you pre-ordered a good while before you're out of time entirely.

W7 will continue to operate for up to 5 days after the first expiration.. if you need more time than that, then do as Ken said and re-arm before you leave.
