Ok, so now I have chosen my CPU, I plan to go with the AMD FX-8350. (Thanks for the help guys)

Just about any modern multi-core CPU will run games perfectly fine because 99% of games rely more on the GPU than the CPU. The reason I suggested the FX-8350 is because he was looking at 3 different AMD CPU's. I could just have easily suggested the Intel i5-3570K at roughly the same price that would run the same, or better than the AMD CPU

Well I read some review seems like Intel i5-3570K is the way to go for gaming.

You can get out cheaper with an AMD system, but an Intel system will perform better in other aspects.

I think you'll save some coin and have more to play with with the AMD set up. If not messing with your OC and getting the better benchmarks are more to your style then i5 and then you'll need to choose 2nd, 3rd or brand new today 4th gen i5. This isn't to say the AMD isn't a fantastic chip and an absolute mad dog for gaming and programs.

Most games today are much more GPU oriented than Cpu. Almost any 4 core CPU will be more than sufficient. I'm not sure of a game out which will use all 4 cores. Concentrate on a good 4 core CPU and spend the money on the best GPU you can afford. Whatever you are seriously considering, find it on Newegg and spend the time to read user feedback. The time you spend will be well worth it. That goes for every component you buy. Don't try to save money on the PSU. It runs your whole system. Newegg is the best place to do research online no matter where you buy it from. As has been said here, the most important thing to do is research.

ASRock is really making waves and rocking ASUS's and MSI's world. I'm still a MSI fan but it would seem that many have had voltage limit issues when trying for the max OC's. The ASUS and ASRock will perform better in that 9/10ths-10/10ths OC situation. The board I recommended and above is crazy !
In the end the last call is your's and I would look for expand-ability and features then value. Have you set a budget for the mobo?
