Building HTPC???

Hi guys i am build my first HTPC and need some help with it.
it will be playing mostly MKV files from m720p - 1080p.


OS - w7 Ultimate

CPU - AMD Athlon II X2 250 3.0GHz Dual Core Processor is it enough

Ram - DDR3 2GB

Motherboard - MSI 785G-E53 AM3 785G or MSI 785GM-P45 AM3 785G both have a ATi Radeon HD4200 Graphics Chipset will the HD4200 working with 1080p

Drives - 3x2TB 1x500GB 1xDVD

PSU - 500W

is this all ok or do i need any upgrades Pls lat me know or any other suggestion..

Personally I'd forget AMD go for an Intel Quad core, and up the ram to 4 gig,
Also step up your PSU to 650w.

As to Motherboards don't stint, its the heart of the system. (I prefer Asus)

I'm an Intel fan as well, but a quad core would probably be overkill for what you plan to do. I have an HTPC right now with a Core2Duo 6420, and it plays everything I throw at it, using an ATI 4350 video card, HDMI output to my 42" LCD.
