I have recently upgraded my Window from WIN Vista to WIN 7 (64 bit) professional on my laptop ( built Acer 6935 G) g

Initially the windows installed a default driver which was working fine , but I Had to make my 5.1 speakers work. In order to do that I downloaded realtek latest drivers from your other threads which is still not helping me out .
Now, All my sound system now are working fine but still the MIC is not working .

Kindly help me to resolve this issue.I am attaching the config of my laptop

In most cases it is best to use the PC vendor (or motherboard vendor as appropriate) sound drivers. In your case the Acer drivers should be used. If they do not have Windows 7 specific drivers, the Vista drivers should work OK.

Non-Vendor drivers in many cases either do not work or do not work correctly. Many PC vendors have custom implementation and the reason the vendor drivers should be used.
