Built-in Webcam Problems

Welcome to Seven forums vik1919.
In Control Panel open Devices and Printers, it should list your webcam. Right-click the icon, then Trouble Shoot and follow the prompts to test it for problems.
There may be an entry specific to the webcam in Control Panel too, it should have its own software.

If you don't have software for the built-in webcam (which is usually junk anyway), install Skype and you'll know very quickly if the camera is working or not.

It would help if you'd at least told us your computer manufacturer's name.
If you click Start then Programs there should be a shortcut to set up your webcam from there.
It just depends what software your manufacturer has pre-installed for you. If you can't find anything press the F1 key to bring up the Help folder and do a search from there.

Also, I'm not sure how old your laptop is but a lot of web cams that were okay in XP or Vista, don't work in Windows 7.

Win 7 test for built-in Webcam & Skype update disables the video
In replying of other comments - My built-in Webcam (USB 2.0 UVC 0.3M) is integrated in Asus UL80Ag-A1 notebook. Everything with the Webcam driver is operational. also the Webcam is working using third party software like YouCam, for example. But was disabled after the latest Skype version (5.5.0.114) update. Upgrading to the next version (5.5.0.115) doesn't help, as well the driver's reloading?
With other words, since I did not find any Webcam pre-installed by Asus notebook manufacturer, and did not find any Windows 7 Home Premium edition Webcam software for testing, I install temporary YouCam and check that my built-in Webcam is operational (no software or hardware problems). It's Skype software problem disabling the video call somehow?
The Skype customer support suggestions how to resolve this problem did not help either? Any help suggestion appreciated. Thanks! Ken
