I built a new rig:

CPU: i7 10700K
MOBO: ROG STRIX Z490-E GAMING
RAM: 32GB CORSAIR Vengeance RGB Pro
GPU: EVGA GTX 980 TI (Old, waiting for 3080)
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 850 GA

In my old Rig I had an i7 6700K and I had Two SSD's, one Windows 7 and one Windows 10 and another Windows 10. I was able to boot into either by hitting F8 when booting to select which Drive.

But now it only shows my Windows 10 drive as bootable and not my Windows 7, but it allows me full access to the drive in Windows Explorer. I am 99.99% sure it's because of the CPU, but there are work arounds for this right?

More likely the mobo. Is the win7 installation set up for efi or bios boot?

Post a disk management screenshot.

You might also need some drivers e.g. usb3

Comet Lake - Windows 7 - Z490 - Intel Driver

I already have a custom Installer USB with slipped in drivers for keyboard and USB3. How do I open Device Manager for that drive when I can't boot into it? I am on Windows 10 right now, can you tell DM what OS to open for?

You'll have to forgive me, I did a 6AM shift this morning and my dumb brain read Disk Management as Device Manager.

Windows 7 is Drive E:

It looks like disk0 is set up for efi boot and disk1 is set up for bios boot.

Check if there is something called legacy boot or similar in bios. CSM needs to be enabled.

I enabled CSM and I can now boot into it. However my USB Keyboard and USB mouse are disabled and I cannot login to the OS. Idk why it isn't enabled. Also it's using onboard graphics and not my GPU.

my USB Keyboard and USB mouse are disabled

You probably need to install the usb3 stack.

You can do that by booting into win10 . Then, from within win10 , point dism++ at the win7 installation to install the driver framework update first (windows6.1-kb2864202-x64.msu) .

Then use dism ++ to install the usb3 stack drivers into the win7 installation.

it is all in these 2 zip files.

You need to install drivers for the gpu

I opened Dism++ and pointed it to Windows 7, went to drivers, clicked ADD then selected the usb3-win7x64 folder and it said Operation Completed Successfully. Ive never used this before, Did it install the MSU file?

EDIT: I apparently did the drivers before the Update, will that mess it up?

I still don't think I did this right, but when I booted into Windows 7 it used my GPU I think, it said configuring windows updates, but my USB keyboard and mouse still do not work and I cannot login.
