Burned disk with windows 7 disk image burner many times successfully, but a couple of dvds when played freezes after 58min - only 10 mins left. why? how to burn completely? tried burning again but same problem with that particular iso file. Disk shows 106 mins long but only plays 58 mins - it looks like the rest has not been burnt on disk - no marks. But iso file has been downloaded completely.

Try the free (and popular) Imgburn program. I've used that several times to make iso discs, such as Windows install discs.

The Official ImgBurn Website

Hi! Thanks for the reply. I just did that but after downloading it went to the verification stage and it froze at 64%. Just checked dvd and same problem - only downloaded 58 mins.

Hi - I tried again and burnt the disk on imgburn - it apparently downloaded but when I try to play it on my pc the disc is not recognised - it requests me to insert a disc eventhough there is one in there???? getting close I think - will try burning it on another disc again.

What are you trying to burn to a DVD and where/wheir did it come from.
What speed are you using?
What size is the file you are trying to burn and what type?
Do you have a problem burning anything else?
Because they all stop in the same place leads me to believe that it's not how you are burning it but what you are burning.

Hi - i've been burning the disks from the same place for years but just recently 2 did not work and the ones after / recent ones are fine. They seem to have been downloaded fine it just won't fully burn onto disk.
The disk shows that there is 106 mins play but it stops at 58 mins.

Now do not burn the two ISOs.

Download and install the Virtual Clone drive. SlySoft Virtual CloneDrive

Mount the ISO on it and play it.

Does the ISO play fully? If not the ISO is corrupt.

same problem - but the iso downloaded successfully so don't understand. How can the corrupt file be fixed?

If you would answer the questions in my post #5 it would help.

If an ISO was corrupt in the source itself( which I believe it to be), you can't do a thing about it. Forget about it and move on.:)

what about isobuster etc? or iso recovery - softpedia?

ISOBuster, ISO Recovery, CDRoller etc., are all Data Recovery programs that can recover data that already existed. These cannot create something that did not exist in the first place. You will recover the same corrupted ISO. So you seed, so you reap.:) Get a good seed.
