Hi I decided to make a copy of my windows 7 home premium dvd,So I went about it with the use of dvd fab it copied the dvd to my folder on the hdd okay.But it has copied it as a 7zip file.
Is that normal or should it be something other.Any help Please.Should I have used another program for the job?

I know nothing about DVD Fab, so don't know where you went wrong.
It is possible there is an ISO file inside that 7 zip file. You'd have to unzip it to find out. If it is an ISO inside, then all you'd have to do is burn that ISO to a disc.
Then of course confirm that it will in fact boot your PC and begin the install procedure.

Hi.Many thanks for your speedy reply.I just wand to copy the contents of the dvd as an iso to my ext hdd as a copy of windows.Then I can burn that iso to a blank dvd when required.
Had a look at the imgburn,Could you please tell me what option shall I select to burn iso from windows dvd.

If you just want a copy of the disc, just do a disc (DVD) copy. There is no need to save it as an iso and then burn the iso.

You have .iso files associated with 7zip in Control Panel>Defaults which is why it's showing as a 7Zip file. It probably will change to ImgBurn association when you install that. You can ignore that and just store it without regard to its association, then when ready to burn it to DVD load it into ImgBurn, or burn to disk or write to flash stick using Windows 7 USB-DVD Download Tool
