Burning the disk

Okay, I have just downloaded the .iso for Windows 7 Build 7068 and now I am at the stage of burning it to a disk. I have installed Infrarecorder and it tells me there is no recorder available, can someone help me by answering these 3 questions and if so, write them in this format?

My 3 questions are:

1: What is a recorder?
2: Is there another application to help me burn iso's to disks?
3: Do I need to burn it to a disk to install it?

My DVD burner downstairs is on the fritz and wasn't installing from 2 different copies of 7068. So I copied the disc contents to secondary HDD and upgraded from that while in Windows 7057. Worked very well, then.

1. A recorder is a piece of hardware that allows you to burn CD/DVDs
2. Another app, I use is Magic iso
3. No, you can mount it or extract it to a bootable thumb drive, or just upgrade

I can't see why not, so long as it meets (or near enough) the minimum requirements. It would be a case of try it and see to be honest. The minimum MEM is supposed to be 1GB but i got it running smooth as a button on 768 (yes 768 LOL, 1x512 & 1x256).

EDIT: Also, i burnt using nero. NOTE: burn at slowest speed to reduce the chance of read errors.

I think that it has about 1.5 gigs but the fact that it may not have 128 Megs of graphical memory is something that bothers me. I don't know if you can install it with less than that but if you can - im pretty sure that you can't use Aero and no aero = thumbs down

I'm using a laptop with 768MB memory & Mobile Intel graphics with 128 shared memory and Ultimate works great even with the Aero effects. WEI is only 2.6 but still works flawlessly (just a good thing i don't use it as a gaming platform LOL).
