I have an issue that may be on my end that you may can help me with. The issue might be on the server end. I don't know. The situation is this I have internet access and many web sites are consistently difficult to access. A good example would be Newegg.com and their pages as well as the links to their site that I click in the email they send me. The blue busy circle stay in an endless loop. I can access there site sometimes if I persistently tap F5 (refresh). While this issue is a problem with many web sites that I try to access some pull up instantly. Is there something I can do to fix this or could it be the ISP or a server issue. I would appreciate any information.
Thank you, Marshall

I have the same problem... I just installed win 7 and updated to ie9... I was in a hurry to file my weekly unemployment claim and the site just wouldn't come in - I had to do it through my XP laptop.

I searched this site and found a suggestion to check my hosts file - it was stockly empty. And to ipconfg /flushdns. Neither has helped me - oh and I did shut off my firewall. I did all the windows updates. I have not ran an antivirus yet.

So far it is just two sites that I am aware of that won't come in... any one with any other suggestions?

Since it's only two websites, I imagine you want to try to salvage your IE9. I'd do a full reset (tools/internet options/advanced/reset (delete personal settings also) and reboot. If that doesn't fix it, at a command prompt try sfc /scannow. Reboot after the scan finishes. If it still doesn't work you could just uninstall IE9, which will put the system on IE8. Let us know if the two sites work on IE8.

I have done everything except uninstall ie9 so far and nothing has helped. I had been using 4.4.4.4 and changed to 8.8.8.8 and that didn't help either. So, lastly, I'll uninstall ie9 & let you know how it goes...

I mainly use (95%) Firefox. I have IE 9 and it also has this problem. I have found this issue so difficult to resolve on my end that I am leaning toward my ISP (DSL) or a server somewhere. I haven't given up. Firefox troubleshooting suggestions says it may be due to the "Vundo Trojan". Firefox recommended removal tools and I've tried them all to no avail. I am currently in a holding pattern. Keeping an eye out for a solution. Please keep responding maybe we will get lucky and resolve this issue.
p.s. I did run ScanNow
Thanks, Marshall

That is interesting. If you don't have them, d/l and scan with MalwareBytes and Super Antispyware. I see SAS updating new Vundo definitions every day. A Guy

I cannot say the same since I can go to my XP and get the same sites denied by Win7...

I have done:
run ipconfig /flushdns
run reset (tools-internet options-advanced-reset and checked personal settings)
run sfc /scannow
Changed DNS servers - from 4.4.4.4 to 8.8.8.8
uninstall ie9 - I havn't done this yet... :( Some how I don't think it's a browser problem, but still tho, I should still try it...
