Hey all!
I've been having a few 7 issues, and I'm not sure what to do.
My system seems to be locking up after about an hour(ish)of using. Happening quite a bit as of late. As far as background on the problem goes, before I went to visit my girlfriend, my computer was running fine. After getting back, (I guess it might be something my mother installed in my absence) my computer has been freezing frequently. She didn't mention anything about it doing this while I was gone (nor have I asked), although, I'm not quite sure what to do.
Thus far, I have uninstalled all the programs that she installed while I was away (can't remember the name, but I will get back to everyone on that if it is needed), I have installed and ran Registry First Aid, AVG PC Tuneup 2011, Auslogics BoostSpeed and Free Windows Registry Repair, as well I have uninstalled and reinstalled AVG 2011, ran scans (found nothing), as well as Malwarebytes and did the homecall for TrendMacro(again, nothing was found). I have yet to do this, as well as run a full system update (from both Windows and Asus) but I will get back to anyone that could assist if this is needed. I've noticed that it happens as I'm running Google Chrome. Once Google Chrome fails, and I go to restart it, the computer then freezes up. I tried reinstalling it, but the problem persists. Another thing I have noticed, after running the Tuneups, my system IS faster, although, the freezing occurs. I have my computer using the "Twin Turbo Mode" and the "High Performance" settings, as well as the Game Booster tuneup enabled. I'll post what comes up from MSINFO32 and if needed, I can bring up an SIW report as well.
I've also noticed that my computer is running a bit hotter than usual, could this be an issue and if so, what could I do to fix this issue?
In advance, thanks for all the help!!! I defiantly do appreciate the assistance!!!
