Looks like quality parts to me.

Is there a 64 mb cache version of those Samsung drives?? Just a minor point.

I didn't look at the case specs, but you might consider aftermarket case fans as the supplied fans are often noisier than they need to be for the amount of air they move. I'd make sure the case will accept 120 mm fans.

Are you sure the mobo has all the ports you need?? eSATA for instance?

Is that Seasonic modular?? You might consider their X series modular 560 or 650 watt models if it is not modular.

I know someone with the case, it has 4 built in fans and he claims its dead silent.
The motherboard has all the required ports :)
The PSU does not have modular cables, however I found I don't ever need that so it's fine.
thanks for the comments.

regarding the 64MB cache I have no Idea.
I don't know much about drives, should I be getting 64 not 32?

I don't know much about drives, should I be getting 64 not 32?

It's not a major deal in terms of recognizable performance gains, but the most recent generation of hard drives are generally 64 mb cache and more cache is generally a good thing.

However, I did look at Newegg and don't see Samsungs with 64 mb cache. They do have a good rep generally, so I wouldn't let it be a show stopper.

If you can spare $100, you might consider getting an SSD and a single Samsung spinning drive. But I'll admit they are a luxury and still around $2 per gigabyte. I got one a few months ago and the only practical improvement is in boot times.

Looks like you are good to go. I have a 2500 processor myself--no regrets.

I'd make sure the Kingston RAM had no heat spreaders or else confirm that the Mugen cooler will not have clearance issues with RAM heat spreaders.

From what I can tell the RAM has no heat spreaders.
But if someone could double check this for me I would appreciate it.

I considered going for an SSD but at the end of the day I don't think its-
worth it for such small amount of GBs..
When 500 GB SSD's become affordable I'll purchase one.

Without a specific model number, it's tough to check the RAM.

But I did go to Newegg and look at pictures of all the available Kingston RAM and saw no heatspreaders.

Oh--you should be quite careful on the RAM. Make sure it is 1.5 volt DDR 3. Sandy Bridge processors are cranky about RAM and much prefer 1.5 volt.

It looks fine to me!
I like the Lancoool series. I just got the newer PC-K57 and I love it. The PC-K57 doesn't come with the PCI card holder, but I bought it separately. Newegg.com - LIAN LI Lancool PC-K57 Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Your case is tool-less with good, if not great, air flow. It should be quiet with the fans it ships with. If you have all 4 fans going plus the CPU fan, you're more in the range of quiet, but not dead silent, I would suspect. Don't forget, it has an open top. Sound will come out. Still, an excellent case and choice.

Ships with:
Rear - 120mm 1500 rpm
Top - 2 x 140mm 1000 rpm
Front - 1 x 140mm 1000 rpm

You can't go wrong these days with an unlocked I5-2500k or an i7-2600k.

I've used the Samsung F3 HD103SJ and it was a speedy drive. I found the 32 MB cache to be be just fine. I loved the drive until I got into this SATA III madness and sprung for 2 WD drives. I should have kept the HD103SJ.
Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar Black WD5002AALX 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

The only thing I see that you may want to improve on is the motherboard, in terms of slot flexibility and future card expansion. You're getting a full size case, you might as well get a full sized motherboard, provided it's at the same price or a few dollars more.

Measurements:
214mm x 496mm x 498 mm (W, H, D)
8.43 inches x 19.53 inches x 19.61 inches (W, H, D)

Take a look at your board and third Gigabyte board. Much can be had for a few dollars more, provided the board is in your area. Newegg.com - Computer Hardware, GIGABYTE, Intel Motherboards, LGA 1155, Intel Z68

I have found that after 3 computers over the years, the RAM you have today will be insufficient in a few years. You show 4 GB of RAM which will do the job today, but 4 years from now I doubt it. I just bought a new 4th computer and ordered 8GB of RAM just to be comfy for the future. I know you can easily add RAM if you need it later, but why not just put it in while you're building the computer. :)
