Has anyone else had problems with the Microsoft Website in putting their pre-order in for the release? Everytime i have tried its been difficult, they keep telling me some information about my CC card or billing address is wrong, over and over, and i can never get through on the phone, dear God not if i wanna pay millions of dollars in out of bounds phone calls (Im currently stationed in Japan, but CC card and billing info are US)..Anyone else have my bad luck?

I had a problem close to this two months back when I bought my TechNet account from their site. My CC thought its was a someone else using my card and locked it. Making MS site would then say my billing address and CC info was incorrect. Call your CC company and see whats going on since you are out of the US they might thing someone stole your card.

I'd indeed get it clarified through your credit card company first. You might need to specifically authorize the charge in advance and/or make sure your current shipping address is listed on the account.

If your billing info is in the U.S. but you're trying to get delivery overseas or something comparable, that's going to be raising all sorts of red flags and getting stuff declined until you call your CC company to clear it up. And right now they don't know to contact you, or if they need to monitor the card because someone's fraudulently trying to use it, etc.

Some software also has export restrictions on it, so there could indeed be something happening on Microsoft's end where you're not going through the right channels to obtain it in Japan.
