Solved Buzzing/cracking sound from new PSU

Hi, this is not a brand new PSU (it's about 2 months old) but since I've turned on my new custom PC, and started converting some videos, it's making those irritating/buzzing sounds. Since some days ago, it's also making these noises when I do nothing with it, and it's far from being maxed out.

It's a Cooler Master B600, 600W PSU and I have no separate GPU, just the iGPU, SSD+HDD (WD green, power saving), 8gb RAM and i7 4790. That's all. While idle, it doesn't really go above 30-40W I think, and according to HWmonitor and adding power usage of HDD/SSD, even at rendering it doesn't go above 110W (I undervolted the CPU so the package uses 60-70W at full load rendering). Also shouldn't it report something about itself to HWmonitor? (my laptop PSU does).
But still it's making electrical buzzing sound and it's so loud and irritating that when I step in the room (about 3-4m far from PC), I hear it or even with headphones on! And it's "intelligent fan control" seems to be broken as it's on full all the time for no reason - it's blowing out very cool air-, does not change RPM (I hope at least it's not this loud normally), and it has the loudest fan in my build ( with 1 case fan turned off and stock intel fan on lowest settings at idle/net browsing/listening to music).

What can I do about it? I'm thinking about RMA but I don't know how long it takes and I don't know how's RMA working. So can you help me with ideas what to do, what's the problem and describing how long RMA process takes?

Sounds like new PSU time but I'm also a strong believer in a good UPS or battery back up voltage/line conditioner. This PSU could be trying to work with low or high input voltages?

Hi there,

If you are sure that the sound comes from the PSU and not the CPU fan, the HDD or some cables, moving from vibrations, I would strongly recommend to get that unit out of the case and consider a RMA. Personally, I think it is not worth the risk. If you plan to continue using it for some time, I suggest you to backup your files on an external drive just to be sure.

Hope this helps

Hi,
This noise actually sounds like some strange vibrating but I've already made sure a hundred times it's the PSU's electrical noise (I neither could believe for the 1st time... and 2nd time) but when I first heard it, I thought one of my fans' bearing gone wrong.
I actually noticed now that it does the weird sounds when I use windows power plan to lower the CPU core frequencies when I don't need max performance so the system runs cooler and uses less Watts. Without that, it's only cracking at 100% processor load (rendering) but that's still about 110-140W max so the PSU is far from being maxed out.
I changed my mind, I won't RMA it, I'll rather buy a new PSU because my noisy PSU fan irritates me generally, it's the loudest in the whole system making "silent and normal" CPU cooling modes useless as there's no difference until turbo cooling mode when the case and CPU cooler fans kick in at close to full speed.

I'm planning to buy Corsair RM450 PSU
RM Series? RM450 ? 450 Watt 80 PLUS® Gold Certified Fully Modular PSU

Little bit expensive here, $140 instead of the US pricing ($100) but it has zero RPM fan mode.

Will this fit in my case and is compatible with my system?

You can see my PC specs on the specs list I'm not sure if I wrote there the Case, I have the Aerocool QS-200 Lite
