Sorry, I am novice user and upgraded from winxp to win 7 ultimate.

At the first day I Installed Win7 facing issues. :(. My pc was working fine until yesterday. Now My win7 cannot boot. It shows error C:\boot\BCD corrupt and unreadable.

I try to recover using win7 CD but nor i can use system restore point because my drive is not recognized there and nor i have any system image. Even win7 is not able to fix it. I tried using command prompt. But it shows drive X instead of installed drive. Is it normal. So how can I run CHKDSK command for C:\ from there ??

PS. now my WD sata harddisk cannot find boot drive.
Please please please someone help me. I am very frustrated. because lots of my work is remaining to do. :(

regards,

vinny

Boot up using the Startup disk CD or Windows 7 DVD. (not the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disk) If you have a Netbook, you will need a CD/DVD drive.
Make sure no USB drives are plugged in.

Do a Strartup Repair:

Note: You may need to do startup repair 3 to 4 times.

If you have not made your Startup Repair

Do you have a mate with Windows 7 & CD/DVD RW Drive, how could burn one off.

For better help,Can you post your full specs.
