Undoubtedly my doings ; This screen pops-up briefly and goes away in the boot up process. Not really hurting anything but curious as to why? and if it can be shut off?

Look for a startup file with .cmd extension. It will load the command processor to run the batch. There's ways to use the command processor hidden. But some don't bother as they think you will type in the batch filename at the prompt. In which case the prompt window would already be open.
Can not seem to find anything... Killed a bunch of startups with CCleaner. Have a hunch it is a program called FlightGear. The pop-up appears on one of the two computers with FlightGear installed but not the other. Both have W-7 x64 systems.
I'm thinking that I installed FlightGear on the system drive on the one that has the pop-up and on a peripheral drive on the one that it does not have the pop-up on it.
Again, not a big issue; was just curious :sarc:
Thanks for the input guys; have a great day!

The program is 'hinkey' to install and have it work properly. Have fiddled with it pretty consistently to get all the facets to function. I believe there is some conflict with their newer update (3.0.0) with either W-7 or x64bit. I hesitate to meddle with it as the program itself is working as it should.
At this point I would STRONGLY suspect it is the FlightGear that is the culprit.
Just a minor annoyance and not a real problem.
Thanks, BRINK

I fooled around initially and got nowhere; just decided to live with it. Just now got to digging into it with your CC cleaner suggestion and by the power of elimination found it to be a program HKLM:RUN AMD AVT.
Thanks, BRINK! (I had resigned myself to it just having to always show that flash screen on start-up)
