not really something that needs help or answering but it made me laugh after i was done being miffed!
everyone knows the maximum length of a usb cable is 5m or 16.4ft (well you do now)
so i just bought a 5m cable to add an extension. the seller sold me a 5mt male to male cable with a female to female adapter.. fair enough.
But when you plug the adapter into the cable and then a device into the cable it makes it slightly longer than the maximum length and the device doesnt work!
Its not the cable as i have 2, and it powers a usb HDD without the adapter, and its not the adapter as ive like 5 of the things floating about!
But ive now got 2 5m cables that are useless lol! so bought a powered hub to shut myself up! lol
