So, today, for Christmas I was given a new computer setup, processor, etc, including windows 7. And a ATI Radeon 5800 series card. All worked well, until I tried to play CoD4.

Basically what happens is, when I start or join a server, after about 10-30 seconds the monitors get DCed from the card, and the cards fans max out, I have searched and searched on AMD's website for a solution, but not even a problem post was there.

I have seen a few posts of people having this problem here and would like to know if anyone has found a solution?

Thank you for your time.

Hi Matt,

Sorry I'm getting to this rather late, I hope you've found a solution by now. In case not, check this Microsoft Answers thread as it's got a lot of commentary about your same issue. Let me know if you find a solution.
