I started to get interested in playing Call of Duty, and I'm wondering if this game will hurt my SSD drive? I also have 16 GB of Ram and if this game will hurt my SSD drive, how can I get this game to totally play in RAM?

you will still have to store it on a drive.

the game won't hurt your ssd, it will only use up some of the space.

if you're running out of room, you can install it onto a hdd - it will just take a little bit longer to start up.

years ago, we used to install battlefield 2 to ram, for super fast booting and map loading, but as soon as you turned your computer off it would dissapear, and having the fast loading times of an SSD is pointless on an online game, as you all have to wait for the start of the game anywho.

im always the first to appear on BF3 and have to wait the longest.

sdd doesnt make your game run any faster just loads up the game aplication faster doesnt effect the performance of it


as you can see it only makes load times faster doesnt speed up the gaming performance itself ,thats all done by the gpu and cpu and ram , so i dont belive it will hurt your sdd just use memory up and make it load faster ^^ but if it bothers you then just use your games on a hdd

and that kingston drive only reads at 230Mbps. its even faster on the likes of corsair force 3 at 500Mbps+

If someone told you that a game would harm your SSD, I'd consider not taking their advice anymore. Aside from taking up disk space, there's no harm at all.
