Call of Juarez - Bound in Blood, unable to start

I can't seem to get CoJBoB to run, I just get a black screen. My disk is in the drive and no game files have been modified, anyone got any ideas?

i use XP sp3...

you're posting on the windows 7 forums for XP support

But if you have multiple monitors, disable your secondary and then run call of juarez. Thats what usually causes that problem on Windows 7, it could also affect XP. Post back if it works.

Again people - The most common cause of this for this game is having multiple monitors. Disable your second display in the Nvidia Control Panel and then try opening CoJ.

If you do not have a secondary monitor, try updating your graphics card drivers and starting the game in various compatibility modes.

Download HWInfo32 and post the summary screen.

wow you have no graphics card? That may be a key factor in why you can't play it. If you do have a graphics card your computer isn't detecting it, in which case re-installing your drivers may be in order.

That card is crap and obsolete. You still won't run the game properly.

Frostmourne - I just happen to have had a 9600 GSO lying around.
I plugged it in and it can play it just fine on highest settings so... I think you are mistaken.

You mentioned a 9500 - and a 9600 would choke @ 1080p with AA.

How old is ur monitor? ..or, maybe a driver one. I have the same issue - but i think my problem is caused by an older monitor:win 7 not correctly detecting my screen refresh rate. Cuase the game i'm having problems with ran just fine on xp.
