Hi

I am having trouble with camera drivers.
I run windows 7 Home Premium N x86 on a Dell XPS M1330 (new install from Vista)
everything on the pc is working fine execpt when I try to attach a camera to the PC and it says the drivers have not been installed and when I do a search/ trouble shoot it says there are no drivers for the camera.

there are 2 camera in particular I am using, a Canon 40D and an Iphone 3gs.

I have tried to reinstall itunes to see if that helps with the driver but no luck and I have also tried to manually install the canon driver which says it is complete but does bot work.

All other USB devices work fine- external HDD, Sony eReader, mouse and keyboard.
the Iphone shows up in 'Devices' as Unknown and the canon does not show up at all!

been on the phone to all sorts of help desks but they all uselss.

much appreciate any help

thanks :)

The 40D IS compatible with Windows 7. You may try the import feature in Windows or the software with the camera. You might also try another USB port. I have problems with my Canons using my front panel USB but the back one son the motherboard work fine. Just a thought. Good luck. I don't know about the IPhone, but I assume it's compatible too.
