Camera upload software

I'm trying to locate a piece of software (free preferred) that will allow my wife to upload images from her camera. The software should allow selection of images on the camera, be able to type a new subfolder name, store the images and erase the ones downloaded from the camera. She can then use Paint shop to access the images and crop, etc. Any suggestions?

If by "upload" you mean move the photo files from the camera to a computer - then (in my opinion) it is best not to use anything other than the Windows (file) Explorer. When you use software to try and automate this process, you can end up with a messy folder structures, duplicate files on the computer and users don't know where photos have been moved to.
