ThrashZone A few months earlier the system started showing symptoms such as, the monitor would go to sleep with the LED blinking when I left after locking the screen. Resetting was the only solution. Another issue was the desktop would remain black and unresponsive for a long time after logging in. I was using the Blank screensaver with windows 10 theme for windows 7 then. I have disabled both and now using windows 7 aero theme. The device manager, dxdiag, sfc /scannow are not showing any problems. I have run a KIS Full Scan but it has not detected any threat.
In addition to system crash, the problem has at times escalated to extraordinary levels. Sometimes, after pressing the cabinet power button, the monitor remains in power saving mode with the LED blinking and does not reach even the motherboard splash screen. Once, booting stopped at the motherboard splash screen. The system is a dual boot system. Once, the grub screen's background became black, when I selected windows 7, I got "This file might be corrupt. The header checksum does not match the computed checksum", and when I selected ubuntu, I got "uncompression error system halted". I guess that was caused by too many resets. That is gone now. I am posting this reply from the same computer now.
The problem comes and goes according to its own volition. I have observed that the system has crashed when I tried to open the action center window to resolve the issue, "Solve a problem with Intel graphics driver", when I tried to open Intel GMA driver graphics properties, and when I tried to restore google chrome tabs immediately after logging into windows. These crashes are non-repeatable meaning, if I perform these actions now the system is not crashing.
