Solved Can Android's user run any video files on laptop via Bluetoo pairing ?

Hi,

My Android device's memory is far too low to save video files into it. Thus, if my Android device's Bluetooth gets connected with my laptop Bluetooth, then I can navigate my laptop's desktop, and then run the video files from there on my Android device.

I don't know of a way to do what you want via Bluetooth but if both the laptop and the Android device were networked together (such as by connecting both to the same router via wifi) then it would be possible for the Android device to access video files from folders on the laptop.

Yes, both my devices(My Android mobile and laptop) are wirelessly connected to the same access point, thus how to let my Android device have access to the video files from the folders on the laptop.
I know that With a home-group I can only share files and printers with other computers running Windows 7.

Probably the easiest way would be to setup a DLNA compliant video server on the laptop, then connect to it using a DLNA client from the Android device.

Your laptop already has Windows Media Player so you just need to follow the tutorial I linked to in order to set that up as your media server. Download the DLNA client from the Play Store. You could set this up in about 5 minutes and try it for yourself instead of waiting for answers in a forum.

I solved that problem with a 64GB MicroSD card. If your device has a MicroSD card slot, it's worth investigating.

The problem is now in Android mobile phone, how could it be navigate the videos shared on my WLM for my lapotp.

First:I’ve already organized my files into My Videos folders, and shared a folder included in the Video library.

Second: I lunched the WMP, I selected the option Automatically allow devices to play my media.
Third: I clicked the Stream drop-down menu again, and select More streaming options. Next: I enabled the Media programs.
NB: There is no list of devices on the network that are capable of accessing the library on that the screen show below, then how to let my Android mobile to access the library shared.

Finally: I have installed the DLNA Player on my Android mobile from google store. However, how can I access the library (video) shared on the Windows Media player on My laptop.

I have no explanation as to why the DLNA Player app force closes on your Android Device. You could try uninstalling the DLNA app (uninstall from Settings-Apps but use the Clear data and Clear cache options first) then re-install the app. If it still force closes then that app may not be compatible with your device. You will need to look for other DLNA apps in the Play store that are compatible with your Android device.

But when you followed my steps I followed, you saw them correct.

Also, I am quite surprised how my Android mobile will navigate the libarary shared on the WMP on my laptop as long as the Android device is not listed in the list of devices on the network I connected to.

Besides, have you seen my screen shots posted previously, this error showed me when clicked on 'Mohammad-PC: Mohammad'

By the way, I uinstalled that DLNA player, and installed another one called "AnDLNA", however, when open the 'Mohammad-Pc: Mohammad'. I found all videos were listed, however, they seem as though they are are unknown extension files genre, thus AnDLNA could play them. They are '.AVI, .FLV

That is a different issue entirely. You need to either convert those videos to a format that the player recognizes or find another DLNA player that supports those video formats. Personally, I have all my videos on my server in the .mp4 format.

This app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ginkgosoft.dlna.ctrl&hl=en will handle the connection to the media server but lets you designate which player to use on your Android device so you can find a non-DLNA player that supports the video formats you wish to use then use this app to connect to the server and select which video you wish to view. It will then prompt you as to which player to use and list the ones you have installed. Just select the player that supports that video format. First of all, what brand of a mobile phone do you have if that makes difference in the steps applied?
NB: While playing the video files on my Android mobile, this will account from the credit of my Internet subscription. if so, then I don't think this good idea since I will google those video files on the internet and will run them on the internet, for instance on Youtube.com since those files are just video files downloaded from the internet and archived on my external hard disk.

But why all those video file formats are working well on the WMP on my laptop.

Also, I really converted one file into a mp4, and when I copied into the MicroSD card for my Samsund mobile, then it was working well with the QQplayer. However, "AnDLNA" didn't support the Mp4, nor the other formats.
I am quite sure that the QQplayer program will run most(if not all) of those formats, but how could I let it access them as long as I will access those format within 'AnDLNA'.

The combination of GinkoDLNA and MX Player works very well on both my LG G2 phone and my Nexus 7 tablet. I can connect to the media server and navigate thru the videos using the GinkoDLNA app and when I select one to watch I am prompted to select which player it should send the video to in order to be played. It's a standard Android dialog and you can select the desired player and choose "Always" or "Just Once". If you answer "Always" then it will not ask anymore and will use that Player for that video format until you change it. If you answered "Always" to a player that won't work with that video format then you need to go into Settings->Apps on your Android device, find the player app, touch it to open it's properties, then click on "Clear Defaults" to clear any file formats that player has been set as the Default app for.

Those video file formats work well on your laptop because WMP or whatever you use to play those videos has the right codecs to play them. In order to play them on your Android device it also needs to have a player with the necessary codecs installed. Codec is short for "compressor" "decompressor" and enables a player to decode a video format in order to play it.

In your first post you didn't say 'GinkoDLNA', however, you said ' DLNA Player ', which really even couldn't open(navigate) the shared library on my laptop when I installed it on my Android(I don't know if that is DLNA Plyer is powered by ginkgosoft or not) (Have you seen its screen shot post before?)

Thanks a lot Yes, but DLNA Player powered by 'ToXSL Technologies Pvt Ltd' was only listed when looking for DLNA player on the Google Store on my Android.
However, DLNA Player powered by 'ginkgosoft' was not listed at all. I will need to type in 'GinkgoDLNA Player' instead of 'DLNA Player'
