Can I add an "Administrator" account?

I have W7 Home Premium on my VAIO laptop with only one account, which is an Administrator account. I would like to change my account to a Standard User account but first I would like to add an account with the name of Administrator with Administrator authority and give it a password.

I'm not sure if this has any effect on the "built-in" Administrator account.

Thanks,
Robert

Hi and welcome to the forums.

You can add an admin accoun by following the tutorial at Create a user account (You are on a Workgroup not a Domain)

This will in no way affect the hidden administrator account.

Oli

EDIT: Derek beet me too it with a better post. :o

Is W7 Home Premium different from XP Pro? My XP Pro boxes with multiple usrs don't display the Admin acct on the login screen that lists the accounts.

Thanks,
Robert
