Solved Can I add PNG images to 'Explorerframe.DLL'?

Hey guys,

Found THE theme on DA. Though I'm having some troubles with the finishing touch.

Indead of a custom DLL the creator of the theme added PNG images to replace manually, and that's the problem.

I can not add non-BMP images.

I've spent a LOT of time trying to make a BMP transparent but that proved to be impossible.

Also, none of the themes successfully chance my taskbar if they have some graphic in the center of it.

Any ideas on this?

What I have done in the past is save the image as a png in photoshop, then browse to the file with explorer, and rename the extension to bmp.

Tried that, but the file was corrupted. Cannot hardcode into BMP. Couldn't even open it in Photoshop afterwards

Try Theme Resource Changer look at this How to use theme resource changer you may need to sign up to download it. I looked at that theme and it's setup to use Theme Resource Changer.

Edit: Update: Thanks Jerry, the second after installing TRC the the navigation buttons and the orb changed.

Only thing that didn't is the taskbar though.

Uninstalled everything (UX/TRC), reinstalled and then applied the theme but that didn't do it either.

Bottom line is though, I could happily live with this, your solution was 9/10.

Will lurk till wednesday to see if anyone could give me a suggestion for the taskbar, Will mark as Resolved after that.

Do you have your Taskbar Properties set like in the screenshot I have below if not the taskbar will not show properly.
