If I cannot sort out this problem with my Dell Inspiron from 2010, can you folks help me to upgrate a new bought laptop ( will be windows 10) to windows 7 ?

Then I might buy one, when I get the money together.

You'd be much better off buying a laptop with Win 7 already on it than buying a Win 10 laptop and downgrading it to Win 7. For one thing, it may not be possible to find Win 7 drivers for a laptop that was designed for Win 10. Also, why pay for Win 10 (part of the cost of the Win 10 laptop) then pay for another OS (Win 7)?

Built my first computer (8Mhz 8088cpu, 640K RAM, 20MB HDD, 2 360K floppy drives) in 1985 and have been building them for myself, relatives and friends ever since.
To add to the others, MS also announced last week that they will not honor W7 patches/updates on new hardware... meaning if you buy a new computer after 2016 with 2016 hardware that comes with W10... and you put W7 on instead, you won't be able to update/patch W7. At least MS isn't supporting it. I don't know if Autopatcher would work.

But I agree with the others FWIW... go for a W7 machine.

Hello everybody and many thanks :):):) for all the suport and thoughts. It was impossible to do anything with the laptop as it closed down to fast.

Now with the new battery this problem seams to have gone. I will now do a sfc/scannow and see if it comes up clear.

Nice to be back :D

Click on the suggestion on top or hit the Enter key,
Go to the Startup section and take some screen shots for a complete list,
Go to the Services section and on the bottom left Check the box to Hide All Microsoft services,
