can i change the layout of my pc's motherboard?

hey guys,

so, the pc that i have is this one: HP Pavilion Elite HPE-235f Desktop PC Product Specifications | HP® Support. Now, the motherboard recently died on it, so i was considering replacing it with this board instead: MSI 890GXM-G65 AM3 AMD 890GX 5 x SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - Newegg.com

However, I see no problems with replacing the board itself, but the question i have pertains to the case itself. In that particular case, the motherboard is actually mounted on the left side, so, the pcie slots are currently sitting ABOVE the processor, the ram, and the main fan. Now my question is this: Can I modify that case so that the board sits like the usual matx board that i have in my other hp pc, which is on the right? So basically, i want to make the case useable, but move the board from the left wall to the right wall with minimal effort, if possible?

this is the first matx motherboard that i have seen which follows the btx standard of mounting the board on the opposite wall, lol.

The other side won`t have any standoffs for you to srew the motherboard screws into, just put the new board in the same way the old board was, or buy a new case.

Ok. I've been eyeing a decent matx case on amazon for a while now anyways. thanks for your help! Also, what do you think about that motherboard? from what I've read, msi seems to be a pretty reliable brand.

I can only speak from personal experience and MSI was the only brand I used for 12 years maybe more and built a lot of systems in that time period with varying models of their boards without any problems apart from one that had a conflict with the onboard graphics chip and having a graphics card installed at the same time, but they very quickly issued a BIOS update that fixed that problem. These days I only work with laptops however my brother in law is in the computer building business so to speak and all he ever uses is MSI to this day after years ago when I first introduced him to the brand and he has never had a single problem with any of them.

Again that is just from personal experience others might say differently.
