Can I hide files with a given extension

Downloading videos from my camcorder I get 4 files for each clip - the video file and 3 other files with the same filename but different extensions that apparently are required by the video editor. When you have several hundred clips that's a lot of extra files that you don't need to see cluttering up the listing. In thumbnail view that's 3 out of every 4 thumbnails. Is there a way to hide those unwanted files by hiding files with a given extension? It's out of the question to set the hidden attribute for each file separately.
Thanx

A batch file can do what you want but:
If you hide them, will the video editor still be able to make use of them?

Did you try:
1.Sorting by extension.
2.Selecting all files of similar extension.
3.Right click to select Properties of all files and Set it to Hidden.

Thanks, works a treat with not a lot of effort.

Doesn't seem to mind. Thanks.
