I need to have a document appear in the documents folder of 2 different users so that either one can modify it and the copy in the second user's folder will automatically update. Neither user has direct access to the other's documents. I hope that's clear.
In addition to need to have administrator privileges, you could try to use FreeFileSync for such a task: FreeFileSync | Free backup software to synchronize files and synchronize folders on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X
You want to create a file, and then have this file automatically updated and copied to two separate directories, which in turn, are user folders, so one can't use the other file, only his/hers?, is that something like what you want?, that program can make it happen.

Only one user has administrative privileges but I've realized that the administrator will be doing all of the updating. The second user needs only to have an updated copy in his folder. I'll give it a try. Thanks.
