Can I make this compatible?

Hi. I just recently bought a dell with windows 7 (64 bit) on it. On my previous machine I had installed a program that is from 2000 and I was wanting to install it on this pc but it says it is not compatible with this version of windows. The company that made the program no longer exists so there is no support for it. Is there anything I could possibly due to get it to work? Thanks

You can install it trying compatiblity mode. If it worked with XP, it should work with Win7, using compatibilty mode.

If Win7 says NO I will believe Win7.
Anyway what is the program? With all the heads here we should be able to find something equal if not better.

if you happen to have the ultimate version then you could always install it in the windows xp vm.

It is called "Family Lawyer 2000". It says it is from "Parsons Technology, Inc.". This is for my dad. Apparently it had what he was looking for which is why I'm guessing he never bothered to buy a newer version I think I am just going to find a similar product and just buy it for him. It is time to upgrade haha

Make older programs run in this version of Windows

As far as I know, 16 bit code won't run at all under Win7 X64. Some older 32 bit software uses 16 bit code in its installer, so that can be a pitfall as well.
