Hello,

I'm getting warning from Windows that my laptop's battery needs to be replaced, and I saw this on ebay :
9 Cell Laptop Battery for Acer Aspire 4732 5332 5335 5516 5517 5532 5732Z Series | eBay
From the description it looks like it suitable for my laptop, but the laptop original battery is 6 cell, and this one is 9 cell.. so is it really going to connect?
It's good to have extra battery life, but is it going to work the same way it's working .. for example with smartphones - e.g extended battery for your smartphone that adds bulk to it?

Thanks

No problem. If it is compatible with the attachment, 6 or 9 cell makes no difference. On an older laptop I went the other way and replaced a 9 cell with a 6 cell without problems. That laptop is mostely used when wired.

You may also want to consider a 12v - car charger to help keep the laptop topped off.
I got mine for both laptops off amazon, here's an example for the Aspire.

This also enables me to use my solar power system at camp, together with a set of usb speakers turns the latop into nice dvd player.

A tip about batteries in laptops:

Do not leave them plugged in charging them all the time. The newer batteries are supposed to stop this so they do not ware out, but this still seems to be a big issue even for newer laptops.

If you are going to use a laptop like a desktop for more then a day or longer remove the battery and store it in a safe place. It will help the battery have a longer life.

If you do turn off the laptop and the battery was fully charged, unplug it and do not leave it plugged in.

Batteries will not die as fast if you follow those methods.
