Just looking at your post,
You will need more ram( see if your system can handle 4GB of ram) and
Check hardware for running Windows 7 64 bit.
I ran this test coming from Vista 32bit and it showed me what I needed if I was to upgrade to 7 64bit.

Nope.

The Celeron D 330 seems to not support the 64 bit instruction set.

Sorry to hear that.
With the costs of computers being so cheap you may want to check out local area sales and get a new one with 7 Home Premium already installed.
Have a great week-end.

Your Celeron chip does not support any 64 bit OS , if it did it would say EM64T in the instructions line so 64 bit is out for you
you can run 32 bit only !!
Sorry and Good Luck

Aww. There's got to be some way?

As far as I have been able to find, no EM64T CPUs have ever been made for Socket 478 (your motherboard). Socket 775 (on the Intel side) is as far back as it goes.

I admit to curiosity as to why anyone would wish to install Win7 X64 on such an old piece of, er, hardware.
