Can I run 64-bit...?

Hello everyone, just a quick question, im using an Intel Celeron CPU [email protected] on Vista 32-bit. I was pretty sure I could run 64-bit Seven so I got the RC and burnt it and went to boot on startup but it just hangs at about 75% when loading the files. So I was just wondering if I actually can because:

On performance information and tools under "64-bit capable" it says yes.

But

In device manager under "computer" it says ACPI x86-based PC.

So im confused whether I can run 64-bit or not?

Hi Exodus, download this small utility which will let you know if your processor supports 64bit or not.

Thanks for you fast reply, it turns out I can 64-bit. This now brings up another issue though.

What can I do about my 7 DVD not loading the files? I cant run it inside Vista either so the only way I can do it is by booting by DVD. Any ideas?

You should have minimum 2 gb ram to run 64 bit Windows 7 cool...

Thats not really relevant when I have more than 2GB RAM and that wouldnt solve the problem as to why it wouldnt boot from the install disk.
