Going to get a new computer soon and I want to save some of my program settings. I don't want to image the whole drive, just some programs. Is this possible?

Problematic for many programs with a few exceptions; certain programs' settings found in AppData can be File/Folder imaged and "copied" onto the new computer. For example, I have successfully done so with Mozilla's Firefox and Thunderbird; Google Chrome; and sometimes even with IE.

Will only work if the program support to backup its settings.
For many applications this won't work.

I suggest to Google each and every application for backup its settings.
