Can I sell my OEM version of Windows 7 with my motherboard?

I've looked all over the place to see if this is possible. I am upgrading my computer and I bought a full version of Win 8.1 for it. I'm planning on selling my old Gigabyte motherboard that the Win 7 OEM disk is tied to. Can I sell the Win 7 OEM disk with it if I include the Certificate of Authenticity?

Will the person on the other end of the transaction have any problems activating Win 7 OEM?

Will it make a difference if I bundle my i5-760 cpu with the motherboard that was also used in the original Win 7 OEM installation?

Typically the OEM license is (for the most part) tied to the mobo, so as long as you sell it together the other person should be ok. I think the only thing that is required is that you uninstall it from your HDD. They will most likely have to call in to activate.

The COA is still attached to the disk case. I purchased the OEM version when I originally built the machine. I would be including the disk, case, COA, and the motherboard in the sale. I am installing a brand new OS on my SSD and the old Win 7 install will cease to exist on my end.

No reason I can see that it can't be done. You're even providing a COA which is as official as it gets.

You could try to activate it on your new rig first, if you don't want to downgrade to Win8, as there are reports MS is making some allowances for mobo change on OEM now.
