Solved Can i tell sound recoder where to store the temp file?

Hi
Where does sound recorder store the temp file before you are given the option to rename it and save to the location of your choice. The reason I ask is that the hard drive with my operating system is small - I have an additional slave drive that I would like sound recorder to save the temp file to. So Can i tell sound recoder where to store the temp file?

When you stop the recording, it comes up with a Panel so you can save the file. You can point that to wherever you want to save it. Not a problem.

Thanks for your reply but that's not what I asked. Maybe I didn't make myself clear?

I know how to save the output - name it - place it in a location of my choice.

But, Where does SR store this output (I assume it is a temp file until I name it)
- the reason for this is that I need to configure SR to use my other hard drive on my computer as the OS and SR is on a small h/d which does not have much space left on it. For example if I use say Exact Audio Copy I can stipulate where to store the data as it records it.

Applications can store temp files wherever they wish but most use the Temp folder of the user profile where other temp files are stored. Few applications, particularly small ones, will provide any means of overriding this. Note that I am not saying Sound Recorder uses temp files.
