I have Win 7 Home Premium, SP1. Dell Inspiron Inspiron 17R 5720. I'm not a techie.
I currently have only a C: drive. I plan to use this site's Partition Wizard tutorial to shrink the C: drive and then create a data partition. I plan to use the tutorial here:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/93322-partition-wizard-use-bootable-cd.html
I'm posting here because I think the question is a general "device" question - rather than specific to Partition Wizard.
The tutorial says that the bootable CD "works best from a CD rather than a DVD". I have some questions:
I haven't experimented with the native Win 7 partition software, because I read that the native software will not move the "unmovable" files in the centre of the current partition.
I would be grateful for any advice.

The tutorial says that the bootable CD "works best from a CD rather than a DVD". I have some questions:
- Q1; I have plenty of "-R" DVDs - but no CDs. Do I need to buy CDs?
- Q2: If I need to buy a CD, will it work in my DVD drive?
- Q3: If I don't need to buy a CD, will a DVD -R work correctly in my DVD drive?
