Can I use two Wired Xbox 360 controllers to play Fifa 12 etc.?

Can I use two Wired Xbox 360 controllers to play games like Fifa 12 & Virtua Tennis 4 multi-player with a friend locally?

I've read you can do it with the wireless controllers but I cannot find any evidence on using two wired ones.

I'd like to clear this up before buying another one so any help would greatly appreciated.

They use USB, right? Just plug it in and see if it's understood by Windows. I'd imagine it would be, heh.

I think it would if it supports local mp because i've used my xbox 360 controller wired on my pc before on super street fighter iv and played versus mode a couple times with my brother.

Well I know one does; I just don't want to purchase a 2nd and have to return it.

Were you both using wired official controllers? I've heard you can definitely use two different controllers together but is this the same with two indentical wired devices..?

yes i'm using a official wired controller, and by wired devices do you mean like a 3rd party pc controller?

Well really I mean two official wired pads as that's what I want to use.

yeah i was able to have two wired usb xbox 360 official controllers working fine on my pc,drivers installed automatically by them self's and recognized both. Been able to play vs mode on super street fighter iv. Pretty sure it's the same thing with the windows controllers since there the same thing as the wired xbox 360 controllers

Yea it works fine. Me and a friend played Fifa on my PC with two official Xbox 360 wired controllers.
