Can no longer see the other PC on my LAN

Yesterday, my wife said she could no longer print to the printer attached to my PC. She had done so successfully only a few days before.
When I got around to taking a look, not only could she no longer print, but she couldn't see the shares on my PC either. Nor did my PC show up under "Network" in Explorer.
Then - to my surprise, her laptop didn't turn up in Explorer on my PC.
On my hub, we have a few Raspberry Pis running Debian which are also sharing. They all show up without problems. I haven't changed anything on them for weeks, so I don't think they are giving the issue.

So, I thought - maybe it is something to do with the Homegroup. My wife's PC couldn't see the homegroup originally created on my PC, so I detached her from it and created a new one with new password etc. Then I deleted the homegroup on my PC and tried to attach to hers. Not surprisingly, I couldn't see hers either - given that our respective machines don't even show up to each other.

We neither have any problems connecting to the internet or indeed any other networking issues.

The problem seems to be confined to the MS networking between these two PCs.

It's very odd.

Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks,

QUICK UPDATE: Her laptop does now show up in Explorer, but when I click on it, I get "Windows cannot access \\SUE-MOBILE". Also in details, the error code is 0x80070035 The network path was not found.

you can also try \\192.168.0.10\c$

In Windows Explorer, there is nowhere to enter a string such as \\192.168.1.66.
In IE (or Chrome etc.), I get "This webpage is not available" with error ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

Thanks for helping out.

Same thing and entering the ip addy directly does not work either and I'm very used to doing that
so I know I'm doing it correctly. I think it's a particular Windows update.

Also try pinging the other computer, does it respond back?

Changing my network from public to work fixed my hardwired PC, but the two on wifi with issues are still in the same boat after also changing them to work.
