Can not copy and paste from Firefox to Word.

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) and Firefox Version 27.0. The problem I can not copy and paste from Firefox to Word 2003 but the opposite is possible.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Sometimes websites are setup to prevent you from copying them.

Can you provide a link to a website where you have this issue?

This is not the case! If I am typing something in Hotmail or Yahoo mail and decide to copy it and paste it on Word 2003 document then it fails while that was possible in the old version of FF.

Do you get an error message or the Paste option is grayed out?

Can you copy other thing to WORD?
Can you copy from firefox and paste in notepad or excel?
Can you copy from firefox and paste in firefox (in a webmail form for example)?

If I had know that info, I would not have said what I said

I installed Firefox 27 and Office 2003 (with service pack 3).

Copy/paste works as expected.



We just need to figure out what is wrong with your computer/software/settings/....

Try running Word in safe mode

Start> In search box type run> Enter> In run box type winword /a> Enter> Try C&P now

If copy and paste works in words safe mode you likely have an add-in, template, or something that is conflicting.

Tools> Templates and add-ins

It's also possible a program that interacts with Word can be the cause.

Did this begin with an update to FF27 only? Or did it work with FF27, and only began after? Can you think of anything added just before the problem began? Do you know exactly when the problem began (day only, as a System restore point might correct that)?
