I can upload the DMP file using the "Manage Attachments" option. But, when I try to "Upload" it as a DMP file I get an error message that it is an "Invalid file".

I can open the DMP file and look at it on my PC. All 752 pages of it. Can't understand any of it. But, I can open it.

Suggestions?

OK.

Looks like the file is attached.

Hopefully, it'll get to you and is something you can use.

Thanks.

ok a couple of things to try:

Do scans for root kits and virus infections using the following tools

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/166445-windows-defender-offline.html
Tdsskiller

Next run the system file checker to check for any file system corruption

Code:
SFC.EXE /SCANNOW
Go to Start and type in "cmd.exe" (without the quotes)
At the top of the search box, right click on the cmd.exe and select "Run as adminstrator"
In the black window that opens, type "SFC.EXE /SCANNOW" (without the quotes) and press Enter.
Let the program run and post back what it says when it's done.

Thanks.

Will try these steps. Probably later this week. Need to find another place and PC to download the tools per those instructions.

I'm back.

Before downloading the recommended tools, I ran a full system malware bytes scan and it found nothing.

I also ran an avast antivirus full system scan and it found 6 critical (trojan horse) issues which I deleted.

I have downloaded and tried to run the recommended DEFENDER TOOL. But, second step under step 2 "[FONT=&quot]2.[/FONT][FONT=&quot] In the BIOS or Boot Menu of the computer that you want to scan, be sure that you have it set to boot from the CD/DVD or USB flash drive created in the STEP ONE section above, and boot from it.
NOTE: Please consult your computer's or motherboard's manual for exact details on how to do this."

But, item 2 under step 2 stumped me so I just stopped. I cannot find BOOT or BIOS. This is a made-to-order PC so I guess I'll need to consult the builder. (Son-in-law)

I also tried to download the Virus Utility from Kapesky. But, never could find it. The provided URL took me to a page of ads and forums about the tool.[/FONT]

Downloading TDSSKiller try that link for the Tdsskiller, and the boot menu should be accessible by re booting the computer and tapping the F10 or F12 key repeatedly before the windows logo appears on screen, if it is not either of those keys I would consult your son about how to access the boot menu, but one of those two should be the default boot menu key.

   Tip
When you boot your PC, there will be a black screen showing a logo of your Motherboard's Manufacturer.
At that particular screen, hit either F2, F8, Del, or whatever depending on the Motherboard's preference to get into BIOS settings. Which button should be written on the screen.
From there, you can edit many settings, one of them is the order of the boot device

You can also ask your Son-in-law whether your PC is overclocked or not, as it can cause many problems:
Code:
CPUID: "Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40GHz"
[B][COLOR="Red"]MaxSpeed:     3400
CurrentSpeed: 3411[/COLOR][/B]
