Can the "All Programs/Back" & "Search" entries be removed?

Can the "All Programs/Back" & "Search" entries be removed?

Using the Windows Classic theme, can the 'All Programs' & 'Search' (which is useless) be completely removed from the Start Menu?
I'm talking about the entry All Programs bar and the Search entry, or can the useless MS Search be replaced with one of the many substitutes?

I do not mean the Search on the right pane.

I do use "all programs auto expander" to solve the annoyance of always clicking on the All programs to get the folders to show, but it would be superior to also get rid of that line all together. Or is this another futile request as it is to get rid of that equally useless Explorer bar??

The search bar is so very useful in 7, but to each his own. Try this:

Start> In search box (ironic, huh?) type Turn Windows Features On or Off> When the list loads, uncheck Windows Search> OK

For All Programs, this also applies to 7

The so called 'search bar' in W7 borders on useless AFAIC, unlike XP and 2k that was useful and was used all the time.
I'm already running Classic 'Shell Explorer'. I do not want to run Classic Start menu. I can live with most of the mess M$ made of the Start Menu, but a few things remain.

An additional question is, can a single shortcut (not folder) be added to the right pane for a single program? A candidate would be substituting the 'Run' in the right pane for a 'Search' substitute.

Did any of the above work? Rather then just carping about the OS, some positive feedback on the advice given would be nice before going on to something else. A Guy
