Well, 32-bit OS can address up to 4GB of RAM, but "fully utilize" it? Not in the sense that it will run the same as a 64-bit OS.

But will a 64-bit OS with 4GB RAM perform better than a 32-bit OS with 4GB RAM? Well, yes, but there really won't be a big, noticeable difference. I'd say stick with 32-bit unless you're planning on upping your RAM.

since you are already using x64 try running your drivers in compatibility mode before doing a clean install to get to x86.

Try posting your compatibility issues in the Software thread and knowledgeable people will be able to help you get your driver issues under control. You could also run XP mode where necessary.

The most x86 will recognize will be 3.25 - 3.75 gb ram of your available 4 gb.
