or even boot into Windows PE Environment from USB KEY >>> Run from Network SHARE: LOL...

OR:

Use ImageX to apply a syspreped image -
Copy the Install .wim out of the sources folder to the dsktop

Where 1 denote which image inside the wim to apply.... use imageX /info to check wim.
\imagex.exe /apply install.wim 1 d:

then edit the bcd store to point to your new install......

Logon to the microsoft Technet as there are loads of VIDEO tutorials as well.

there are so many ways with the new windows 7 <<<< you are Spoilt for choice <<< best to go with the most simple (use the dvd) or install on vpc and sysprep??? and attach vhd .... too many!

Just get somthng to open the iso file pull them to ur ipod / thumb driver click install. works like a charm for me. :D

OS
Windos 7 FtW
Or just use Daemon Tools / Poweriso and install from there. (no need to boot, no need to do anything). :P

My Computer

OS
Windows 7 build 7600 RTM x86
or just extract the file from the iso with winrar and run them from the OS you wanna replace with windows 7?

My Computer

OS
Windows 7 32bit RTM
Exactly. :D That's what i did but i think there is a problem.

Because my other windows was windows xp from which i installed w7 with daemon tools now i have a problem.

bootmgr folder is missing from C:/ because (i think, it's my opinion) that when i installed w7 from windows xp with daemon tools, the partition wasn't formated and the old windows was moved in windows.old so there is no bootmgr...or maybe it's just me.

Correct me if i'm wrong.

All those Bad install type Do create Errors...

The Ipod Way Is also a GoodWay....Posibly LOL, Can the Ipod Stand up to the FIle transfer process?... working simular to a USB INSTALL... How does it effect BATERY POWER CONSUMTION?

Windows install like to mount the boot.wim (Replacing/Old BCD)And Apply the Install.wim -1Win7 image To the Harddrive Chosen.... after this the install is all off the harddrive...

PS: an operating system install Is supposed to be done from the LOWEST LEVEL Available.... Installing windows from within windows is always bound for problems.... this is 2009 NOT 1998.

USB DEVICE (even ipod): USB Windows 7 Installation Key Drive - Create

VHD file: Virtual Hard Drive VHD File - Create and Start with at Boot

Windows PE Environment from USB KEY >>> Run from Network SHARE:

OR:

Use ImageX to apply a syspreped image -
