Can you 'repair' media center ?

I have a system that reports errors when I open Task Scheduler..."the program/task is corrupted....."

I've traced these down to two media center issues. Rather than mess with the registry/and/or manually search and delete the offending modules in Windows...is there a Media Center "repair install" or other method to correct these re-occurring Media Center task errors in Task Scheduler" ?

Use this tutorial to turn off Windows Media center and then turn it back on. This should repair it.

How to remove media center from system

Have an SSD drive that only has about 14GB of available space. I need to do a repair install (Brinks) but Repair Install says I need about 24GB of space...only have 15GB

Can I remove media center completely and then run repair install...and then reactivate media center after a successful repair install..?

Or...other than uninstalling programs...is it possible to free up space any other way so I can rum repair install ?

Had recently done a successful repair install but that was before I activated media center (no other programs were added/installed) ?...with media center running...it appears it's filled up my SSD to a point where I can not run another repair install ?

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated...
