Can you run IE9 x86 on X64 Pro

I've read the 64 bit version of IE9 is slow compared to the 32 bit version, especially with Javascript. When I tried to install the 32 bit version, it said it would not install on my Pro x64 system. I'd like to try 32 bit just to see if I can notice any difference. Can it be done?

The x64 installer is for x64-based Windows systems. It will install both the x86 and x64 versions of IE9, and sets the x86 version to be the default browser. You should install the x64 package for IE9.

There is no 64bit version of IE9. Opening the 64bit shortcut opens the 32bit version.

This is a wrong statement,there is 64-bit IE9

The only thing is,you cannot set the 64-bit IE9 as your default browser.

Thanks all. I did not realize it installed bot 32 and 64 bit. Brink, thanks for the link. Reinstalling as I type this.

Edit: Install completed and I have access to 32 bit (default) and 64 bit. Thanks again.
