Can you turn UAC off for a specific program?

The short answer is no. However there is a way to create a shortcut to that program that will not prompt for permission.

Hi, Very useful thread. But suppose, the program would start after doing 14steps without UAC. But what if you have to choose one more step to auto process the exe file for which you have made the shortcut

Ccleaner has a option in the settings you can turn on to bypass the uac prompt, so the shortcut is not even needed.

Thing is, ccleaner has it chosen by default on install. That is why I am a little confused why its prompting you with UAC.

The thing is that i am trying the same for malware bytes a best utility program. If only it could be made to auto start and scan it is easy. For nowadays, there are so much attacks on the computer. Avast could be scheduled to run on a particular time. I will try to at leasst not bothered with UAC
