Hello everyone,

I have searched for many hours on this problem of mine, to no avail, so I decided I'd ask it myself.

So, the problem at hand is: I just re-installed my Win 7 Pro x64 (I did a clean install, wiped both C and D drives). Everything went smoothly, it loaded up, I downloaded all the 164 updates via Windows Update, restarted the PC and that's where the problem starts. After all that, when it's time to logon on, there's nothing there, just a blank wallpaper, it looks like the explorer.exe is not starting up. So I tried ctrl+alt+del, that just gives me black screen. So I tried ctrl+shift+esc, nothing happens (I was trying to create a new task explorer.exe, you see...). So that's when I started googling on my phone, and I found some workarounds, but none of them worked, including the regedit option (hkeylocalmachine, windows, Shell - "explorer.exe"). So, since it was a fresh install, I thought what the heck, lets reinstall it again. So I reinstalled the Win again, with the same outcome.

If anyone has some insight, please share :)

So, it seems that I've somehow solved this issue.
I did 3 things at once, so I have no idea which one of these has solved the issue, but I did the following.

I was installing the win on my SSD drive everytime, so I decided to install it on my HDD. Then, after the updates have been complete, i turned off my PC and took out everything, practically. I took out all the cables, connected them back on, i took out all 3 RAMs, put them back in as well as my GPU. That seemed to have somehow reset the settings, because I had the boot logo and all that disabled and now its showing up while booting. Nevertheless, it works now.
