Have you deleted the 100mb partition?
What are the three steps to repair?

Hi Theog

No i still have the sys res partition with the boot files in there but it must have become corrupt in some way.The three steps to repair are to insert dvd access repair console and run start up repair but this does not find anything and brings me back full circle. Is there a way to recreate the files in the sys res part.Have included disk management pic

Thanks

Danny

Hello Danny.

You could use the outline in Option Three of this tutorial at the link below to do a partition-specific wipe of just the SysResv partition, make sure using Partition Wizard that it remains the only Active partition.

Partition Wizard : Use the Bootable CD

Then remove the PW CD and put in the Windows 7 DVD and restart the PC to do the three separate startup repairs to create a 'new' set of boot files to the SysResv, that may sort the issue and it can't hurt at all if it doesn't.

Boo to diskpart first and do a format to the SysResv after the wipe with PW just to be sure.

DISKPART : At PC Startup

diskpart

select disc 0

select partition 1

format fs=ntfs label="System Reserved"

active (if needed)

exit

exit

<enter> after each command
